Problems With Feed

by golbguru on January 18, 2007

Just a few hours ago I installed a new plugin Feedburner Plugin V2.2, and it seems like it’s giving me some problems. Right now, I am seeing a problem only with Bloglines (its giving an error symbol that looks like this [!] and says ” The feed URL returns a page that does not look like an RSS feed.”)

Please bear with me while I work out a solution to this problem. Update (Jan 18, 9:27 am central time): It seems the problem just went away by itself, I didn’t have to do anything. Thanks Jeremy and Eric for the quick feedback.
If anyone has faced this before, I would be glad if you provide some insight into this. If anyone faces a similar problem, I would suggest waiting for a few hours to see if it goes away. Otherwise drop a line to Eric (see comments for his email id) and let Feedburner help you through it.

About

by golbguru on November 16, 2006

About me

I am 20-something graduate student experimenting with blogging and personal finance. Golbguru does not mean anything. Golb is just the word ‘blog’ read from the wrong end ( Golb <–> bloG ).  :)

About this blog

This blog started off on Google’s Blogger platform in December 2005 with absolutely zero motivation. Yeah, that’s true. At that time, I just didn’t know what to write about.  It was not until September 2006 that I discovered that I could possibly write a lot more about money than any other topic. Since then, it’s been all about personal finance at the rate of about 1 post per day! :)

On November 16th 2006, I moved away from Blogger to the current domain. The real growth of this blog started after the move.

This blog is not a financial advising portal. If you are looking for professional financial advice, you need to see a professional financial advisor. Of course, you know better than to trust a 20-something graduate student (in a non-financial area of study) who blogs anonymously. :)

About my thoughts on advertising on this blog

I don’t display advertisements to “endorse” or “encourage” buying of any product. For me, advertisements are a source of revenue that subsidizes the efforts that are put into keeping this blog up and running. It’s like watching a TV…there are tons of advertisements on tons of products…it doesn’t mean that TV channels are *encouraging* you to buy the products…it’s upto the viewer to decide what is good and bad.

Since I do not endorse or encourage any advertisements on this blog, my content is not biased by the advertisements. I reserve the right to speak my mind against products/services even if there are advertisements about such  products/services on this blog.

I do not participate in PayPerPost or ReviewMe programs.

Coming Up Soon: Financial Tips For International Students In US

by GolbGuru on October 2, 2006

I have a number of friends, here at my grad school, from different countries (well mostly from India and China and a few from other countries) and I hear a lot of stories about the difficulties they face in managing their money….or as is in the case of most students (international or otherwise)…the lack of it. This has inspired me to compile some information that will probably be of help to them. Currently, I am in the process of verifying certain pieces of information and will post it as soon as the process is satisfactorily accomplished.

Meanwhile, if you have any valuable information that may be of help in this matter please let me know. Due credit will be given for any/all information provided. :)
