More Sharebuilder $50 Promo Codes

by golbguru on September 12, 2006

These are some more $50 promo codes for Sharebuilder. They seem like valid codes for now; I tried and Sharebuilder accepted them through the initial few steps on opening an account. However I stopped after a few steps… didn’t have the heart to open any new accounts…..already have 3 accounts opened with 3 other codes.

SMEAUG50

CAMPUS50

FOLLETT50

The earlier codes I used (successfully) are listed here.

Check out Fatwallet Forums for more Sharebuilder promo codes.

Yet Another Sharebuilder Promo Code and Account

by golbguru on September 7, 2006

Ok, so I am really stretching it now. This is my third Sharebuilder account using a promo code within a span of 15 days. Got this new promo code: SHAREBUILD50 from Blueprint for Financial Prosperity and immediately opened a new account.

I am wary of the fine print which says “Valid only for first time account holders with ShareBuilder.” However, multiple accounts have worked earlier, so hopefully Sharebuilder will accept this promo code too.

Btw, this promo code does not require enrollement in an Automatic Investment Plan (AIP) like the earlier ones. Even if you do enroll in the AIP, you don’t require a $50 minimum investment.

Keep checking Blueprint for Financial Prosperity for a listing of all old and new Sharebuilder promo codes and other interesting stuff.

Update- This is an excerpt of the email from Sharebuilder long after the account was opened:

sharebuilder3.1 dealsThis makes it sound like the AIP is necessary, but if you read the terms and conditions here, there is no mention of AIP anywhere. I think the same is true for the other codes I have used in the past.

Sweet Deals of the Day and Confusion

by golbguru on September 3, 2006

7821967_rc dealsStumbled on these items while browsing today:
1. Western Digital 500 GB, Internal SATA Hard Drive for $ 159.99 at Best Buy; Pretty good deal, considering it turns out to be about 32 cents per GB (cheap!). A product file photo from Best Buy is shown alongside.

17657005_125.0 deals
2. Canon S3 IS, 12X optical zoom digital camera for $ 356 at Amazon. I have been tracking this camera for a long time now, and this has so far been the cheapest deal from a reliable supplier. A product file photo from Pricegrabber.com is shown alongside.

And now, I am in a state of utter confusion. To buy them or not? The deals seem awesome and I have been looking for similar items for quite some time now. However, suddenly my personal-finance-brain has started screaming at my I-want-this-cool-stuff-now brain that I don’t need these things. However, if I let this go now, I am not sure I will see these prices again. It’s time for some “need-based” decisions now.

Get Webroot Spy Sweeper for $4.95

by golbguru on August 31, 2006

I just got a 2 year service of Webroot Spy Sweeper latest version for $14.95. Check out the information on Fatwallet

You can get a one year service for a measly $4.95 ! Go directly through Webroot and this thing retails for $29.95 !

For convenience, this information is posted here.
-Connect to Webroot via Fatwallet by clicking here.
-Add Spy Sweeper to the shopping cart for $14.95 (one year service)
-Use the coupon code: ISCSPY to get $10 off.
-You can stop here to get the one year service for $4.95.
-To get a 2 year service for $14.95, select the “Add a Year Only $10″ option.

If you have 2 computers, buy one copy first as described above and then buy the second copy in the same way. If you try to buy 2 copies at once, it becomes much more expensive.

See the Spy Sweeper reviews at PC World. Seems like it does it’s job well.
