The Sunday Review #2

Here are some interesting blogs/posts/articles that I stumbled over this week.

Why Buying a BMW With Cash At 18 Years Old Is Not a Good Idea Alex at YoungFinances.com tells his story about how he spent his hard earned money. There are lessons for all of us in this. Grim reminder of the fact that “making more money” is not equal to “getting rich”
Get Free Money: Comparing Cash Back (Rebate) Credit Cards Flexo lists six credit cards that you can use to get cash back on your purchases on his blog Consumerism Commentary. Because he lists six cards, doesn’t mean you have to apply for all six at once :). Read the information for each card carefully and choose the one that suits you best.
How to fight with your wife and stay married Some helpful tips for guys who blog too much. You might as well read the title as “How to blog too much and stay married” :). Btw, Robert this also gives us a clue about why you were not updating your blog for a while.
Reducing Utility Costs Frugal for Life gives some tips on how to save money on utility costs. Some of the numbers seem a little “too much” to me, but it’s still worth reading and trying out.
Wishing for More Money “More money” is not an answer to financial distress - Money Musings is right on the money here. This is exactly what Alex’s story conveys above (see the first entry in this table)
Income Tax Anticipation Loans Another financial “scam”, highlighted by Dimes to Dollars, that lures people to borrow money at very high interest rates. It almost sounds like payday-loan stuff..except that it is “tax-return-day-loan”
How NOT TO repair your credit (and the ethics of blog ads) Penny Nickel explains why the author rejected an advertisement based on moral grounds. “Money and Values” indeed suits the blogs name :).

Great review. Excellent post by YoungFinances.com, which was sparked by your insightful question on net worth.
