Ever since I signed up for Yodlee, I have been logging in to MoneyCenter at least once a day, sometimes twice a day and on occasions more than that. It has almost become like an addiction and every time I have access to internet, I feel a compulsive urge to login to Yodlee and check the status of my accounts on the cool dashboard. The Yodlee urge is much more compelling than my other urges… like checking out the consumer electronics stuff at Best Buy or Circuit City, checking out hardware supplies at Lowes and other unmentionable urges.
Is anyone in the same boat? Do let me know about your feelings for Yodlee.
For those who are not yet familiar to Yodlee, it is an account aggregation service. Many banks offer aggregation services in partnership with Yodlee, for example: My Portfolio offered by Bank of America, EasyView by HSBC, MyCompass by Compass Bank etc.
Yodlee also offers a free version of it’s service through the MoneyCenter suite. Through MoneyCenter, you can view all your financial transactions including credit cards, mortgage payments, investment accounts, rewards accounts at-a-glance. It is similar to Quicken or MS Money, except that it is always online (in case your computer crashes, you are still covered). The fraud alerts and bill payment reminders for individual accounts are the best parts of it all. For more information on Yodlee check out the Yodlee Forum.
Once you sign up for it, you are going to love it.

Absolutely. Every morning when I wake up and log into my computer to start the work day the first thing I do is log in to Yodlee and update everything. I also stalk the Yodlee Forums to get accounts added that I want. I posted a while ago about how when it was virtually unusable for about a week after the upgrade I almost had an anxiety attack.
Chuck, glad to meet another Yodlee fan. I am a newbie at the Yodlee forum, but it is already looking like a treasure trove of information.
I’m so glad I’m not alone on this. Ever since I set up all my accounts, I compulsively check them. It’s ridiculous, really. Even when I know that there is no scheduled bill payment, deposit, or transfer, I still feel the need to check as if something might have changed.
I feel so empowered when I use Yodlee. I really feel like I have control over my finances and I feel like I can easily and adeptly plan my expenditures and future purchases and savings just by taking a glance at the dashboard. It’s a terrific tool.
Totally addicted, check it minimum once a day, and I set the alerts very broadly, so I get about 3 or 4 a day.
Such a great tool, also makes it so easy to manage inactive or rarely used credit cards.
For any Moneycenter users:
How do you start using Moneycenter? I’ve looked on http://www.yodlee.com and can’t find it. The site seems to be oriented for the banks rather than for individual users.
I’ve been a Wachovia OneStop user for some time now and love it. However, I’d like to switch to the pure Yodlee version because I notice on the forum that it gets new sites added much more quickly.
Thanks in advance,
Dan
Dan: Follow this path:
1. Go to Yodlee.com
2. On the bottom of the page you will see this “Existing Yodlee user? Log in to: the new Yodlee services”. Click on this link.
3. Click on “Log me in to US $ Yodlee MoneyCenter..”
4. Once you do that you will see this above the id/password fields: “Not yet a Yodlee MoneyCenter user? Registration is free and only takes a few minutes.” Here click on Registration and you will be able to register.
Hope that helps.
Thanks GolbGuru!
Any concern about privacy issues? By having all your financial information in one place, do you become a target for more advertising? I’m interested in joining an aggregation service, but I’m concerned about making all the information about my finances available to one service.
agrecurious: here is a link to an article I wrote about security on Yodlee.

And, as far as I know, Yodlee doesn’t sell your information to any third-party advertisers.
Right now, I feel safe about Yodlee as an aggregation service since I have tried it for some time now…I haven’t tried any other aggregation service so I hope you take that into account.
I love Yodlee. My greatest fear is that the company will not make any money and I will have to go back to Quicken.
I’m absolutely addicted. I check it at least five times a day. Perhaps I need to cut that back to about one or two…
I can definitely see having an anxiety attack if the service were to go away.
Oh yes, I check Yodlee at least twice a day! It is so convenient. Glad to know I am not alone!
I almost signed up for this but actually READ their terms of service, which noone else here apparently has. Scary stuff.
Definitely love Yodlee, but I’m concerned about the increasing competition and the lack of marketing on the part of Yodlee.
Security? Sites get hacked into all the time. All it takes is a decent hacker to get into their database.
